Panzhihua University (Abbreviated as PZHU) is
a comprehensive university of higher learning ratified by National
Ministry of Education, focusing mainly on engineering courses. It is
located in the South-western portion of Sichuan province and borders
North-western Yunnan Province. The campus is home to a wide array of
beautiful trees and flowers, and has been labelled an Advanced
Garden School by the Sichuan People's Provincial Government.
PZHU covers an area of 840,000 square meters including a total
building area of 370,000 square meters. The fixed assets of the
school are over RMB 466 million. Presently there are 983 faculty and
staff members with 675 professional teachers. PZHU provides
undergraduate courses in 29 specialties, junior college education
and services in 32 specialties, with more than 50 majors in all.
Currently, PZHU offers a wide range of programs covering seven
branches of learning, including science, engineering, liberal arts,
law, economics, management, and medical science. The University now
has a total enrolment of 12,000 students from all over the country
(29 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under
the Central Government).
The school has a guarantee system of practical instruction with over
70 inner teaching experimental laboratories for basic courses, 23
laboratories for specialized courses, a provincial technology &
engineering research centre for vanadium and titanium materials, as
well as a provincial key laboratory and nearly 100 partnerships with
corporations and factories across China for students to gain
practical experience. The method for the school management and the
means of education has been fully modernized. PZHU has a wide array
of modern teaching equipment including a Multi-media and an
Audio-Visual Instruction Centre, a CAI Teaching Disc Design Centre,
and over 60 multi-media classrooms. The campus intranet system is
connected to CERNET and INTERNET covering all the campus offices,
classrooms, labs, and dormitories (both students and teachers).

| PREREQUISITE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS |
- All candidates who are in good health and friendly to China should be able to abide by the Chinese laws, policies and Panzhihua University’s regulations.
- All candidates would be under 55 years old with a schooling record above senior high school.

| PROCEDURE OF APPLICATION |
- You can get “Panzhihua University Foreign Students Application Form” and “Physical Examination Record for Foreigner” from the department of foreign affairs of the university or download them
from the category "Applications" in the menu above.
- Please fill in the application form, make copies of valid passport and school certificates, prepare 3 pieces of passport photos, and send them to the University’s Department of Foreign Affairs.
- The university will deliver the admission notice and “Visa application form for foreign students” (JW 202 forms) to verified
enrolees.
- All the foreign students admitted to Panzhihua University must hold the admission notices and “Visa application form for foreign students” as well as the “Physical Examination Record for Foreigner” in person and go to the Chinese embassy or consulate in their country to get the student entry visa to China for studying (X Visa).
- Candidates have to be registered at Panzhihua University as soon as they arrive in china. The officers of the Foreign Affairs Department will help them apply for residential permit at Sichuan provincial security office within 10 days, otherwise, a fine may be imposed.
- Before studying, candidates have to hand in their passports, JW202forms, health certificates with original blood tests for ADIS and Syphilis, Admission Notices and six passport-size photos to register at Panzhihua University.
- Tuition fees are not refundable if candidates: a) leave school early, b) transfer to another school in the middle of the term or, c) discontinuing their schooling

Short-term class
1、Obligatory Course
Overview of China, Chinese Culture, Elementary Listening, Elementary Oral Chinese, etc.
2、Elective Course
Chinese Painting, Calligraphy, Chinese History and Geography, etc.
Course work will be specifically arranged by the teaching staff according to different levels of student, and students can take the courses depending on their own preference and timing.
Long-term class

Chinese Character Writing, Overview of China, Elementary Listening, Elementary Oral Chinese, Elementary Reading, Skills in HSK Test, Intermediate Reading and Listening (News Reading and Listening), etc.

| How to get to Panzhihua University |
Option 1. Students may arrive directly at Panzhihua Airport from Beijing Airport by plane, which just takes 3 hours to the university. The cost for Airport Pick up Service is 10 USD per person.
Option 2. Students may also get to Panzhihua University by train from Beijing. The train Number is K117 taking 43:37 hours to the terminal station Panzhihua. The cost for Train Station Pick up Service is 10 USD per person. |

Containing over 1,400,000
volumes, including 900,000 paper books and 500,000 e-books, the
library is free to all teachers and students. There are 1,267
Chinese and Foreign journals. With 10 common rooms and a special
stack room, the library has over 2,400 seats. |

PZHU is home to a standard
ground track field, a heated swimming pool, 19 basketball courts, 6
volleyball courts, 6 tennis courts and 22 badminton courts, along
with 46 Ping-pong tables, a playground, 2 gymnasia and a card room. |

Our attached hospital is a
First Class Grade Ⅲ hospital. It is a distinctive hospital,
combining medical treatment, education, scientific research,
prophylaxis, Chinese medicine and social medical treatment. |
